About D.A.D.S.

D.A.D.S. was created in an effort to establish mentoring programs in schools, coordinate activities for children, provide training sessions to enrich their minds, and utilize community activities to expand their knowledge. D.A.D.S. is dedicated to providing our children a better and safer place to live and grow into productive adults.

In today’s world, the challenge facing our community has been a lack of participation from fathers due to a variety of reasons, such as working two or more jobs to support their families, a breakdown in communication between divorced parents, or young men becoming fathers before they are able to fully understand and undertake that awesome responsibility. D.A.D.S. is a group of dedicated and committed men who are willing to step up to the plate and become role models in the lives of children who lack the stability of an active father figure in their lives.

D.A.D.S. is also aiming to improve conditions within entire communities – not just in family homes – whereby we can accomplish a sense of unity, and improve our overall environment where we both live and learn. This venture begins inside of our schools. Because of an educational system that is often filled to capacity with overcrowded classrooms, our teachers struggle with having enough time to provide the individual instruction that children often need.
